It’s not all about what you’re wearing tonight, you know. It also matters what you’re pouring… and what you’re pouring it IN. So which glasses would you choose to serve your finest bubbly?
If you’re going for ‘couture’ glasses, there’s no better place to start shopping than moss for quality crystal and unique shapes. The TAC 02 (second from left) is our personal favorite for keeping bubbles fresh.
If you’re on a budget, Crate & Barrel makes the best stemware for your buck, making them twice as affordable as the pieces from moss (and less expensive to replace … we know the kind of party you throw). The ‘Edge’ flute (last one of the bunch) is our pick for its modern meets classic shape.
Now, could we get a refill please?
TUESDAY TUNES: CITY AND COLOUR

There’s a slew of Canadian bands that we’ve been listening to this year, one of them being City and Colour out of Ontario whose most recent album arrived in February.
They’ve got a mellow sound that reminds us of the days when we looped the Garden State soundtrack endlessly on our ipods… ahhh… memories. Can you believe it’s almost 2009? We’re thinking this record will be a good addition to our New Years collection.
RED HOT RUNWAY

We’ve been checking out the Pre-Fall 09 shows to get an idea of what’s in store for fashion in the upcoming year, and one trend we couldn’t help but notice was a saturation of red…
From simple silky lines from Badgley Mischka to over the top glam at Chanel, this strong color was head to toe all over the runway.
Looks from Naeem Khan and Donna Karan proved that goddesses don’t have to wear white, and that draping dresses aren’t going anywhere.
Even deeper jewel-toned dresses stayed with the red theme with looks from Reem Acra and Vera Wang. Our advice? Stock up on red for 2009.

While we have heard lots of opinions on what albums should be included in the top picks for the year, we like to turn to Pitchfork’s Top 50 albums to get an idea of how we fared in picking our favorite Tuesday Tunes all year…
Looks like three of our picks made it into their Top 10, with our top pick probably being Vampire Weekend. What would you have added to the list?

Want a heads up on what’s hot for 2009? How about laptops designed to look like a clutch?
You may have noticed this look sauntering down the runway during Vivienne Tam’s Spring 09 show at Bryant Park. What you didn’t notice?
The fact that this ‘clutch’ was really a super slim laptop designed in a collaboration between Tam and HP.
The stunning colors and design make this a must for our 2009 wishlist. If only it came with a little section for our lipgloss…
