STYLE SPOTLIGHT: GOLD STUDS
Posted - February 26th, 2009 - Uncategorized
The latest trend we can’t get enough of these days is the way shiny gold studs are popping off of soft black accessories like shoes, bags, belts… you name it.

While it seems like a trend that might fade with the season, we’re still counting on rocking it late night way into the summer.
GETAWAY: BARCELO RAVAL HOTEL
Posted - February 25th, 2009 - Uncategorized
Barcelona is known for taking risks in architecture and design, so it should be no surprise that the Barcelo Raval fits right into the culture of this hip, artistic city.
We can’t even imagine what this looks like in person, it’s already so amazing in photos, and it’s sure to be a design lover’s destination for years to come.

When there’s no outstanding new releases to talk about, we like to dig into our itunes library and come up with some lesser-known favorites that you may not know. So, this week, we’d like to bring you a†Little Joy in the form of The Strokes’ Fabrizio Moretti, Rodrigo Amarante (singer/guitarist of Brazilian indie-rock outfit Los Hermanos), and Binki Shapiro with her sweet little voice…
Their self-titled album came out last November and has been a favorite ever since. Check it out.

Hermes has teamed up with Smartcar to create a little (and we mean LITTLE) luxurious ride for the eco-chic…
The interiors are trimmed with Hermes’ super-luxury leather and Toile H, a high quality canvas, typical of the brand’s style.
Available in Ebony, Gold, Charcoal, Orange, Hermes Red, Bright Red, Fuchsia Pink, Indigo, Sky and Lime, there’s enough of a selection for every taste. But really, why wouldn’t you choose the classic Hermes orange?

MEET MIETTE

The jewelry may be recycled, but the style sure isn’t. Beautiful necklaces, bracelets and rings from the French company miette create a dramatic look and make a earth-friendly statement too…
Recycled cotton and polyester strands create a delicate necklace.
Glass pearls contrasted with metal, and PVC strands create unique pieces.
Layers of paper magazines create a marbleized ring.
TUESDAY TUNES: M. WARD
Posted - February 17th, 2009 - Uncategorized
Being fans of the overwhelming cuteness that is Zooey Deschanel, we were introduced to her collaborations with M. Ward – her partner in the duo She and Him. With his recent release, Hold Time, the album features collaborations with Zooey as well as a few other well-known artists.
We’re diggin on the folk, rock’n'roll, and old school americana roots that keep his sound simple and nostalgic. Perfect for dreaming away these rainy LA days we’ve been having lately…
ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS
Posted - February 16th, 2009 - Uncategorized
What better way to celebrate President’s Day than to blow some Benjamins on a little shopping spree before we leave the country…?
We’re ready for Mexico and warm beaches, so who else would you wear, but DVF? Acessorize with a YSL ring, floral sandals by Stella McCartney and a coral Chloe clutch to top it off, all via net-a-porter.
