What’s better than a photo by Hedi Slimane? A photo of the talented Amber Valetta by Hedi Slimane (for V Magazine, no less!)…
THIS LITTLE PIGGY…
Posted - August 27th, 2009 - Archived
We always give bonus points for originality. So instead of showing off a skull or snake ring (which we’ve seen plenty of lately), why not pick a little piggy for your pinky instead?

Created by designer Francesa Sibylla, these luxe pieces feature fire opals and black diamonds in 18k gold that is shined to perfection. So, what do you think? Should these animals be saved for farm life, or are they ready for city living?

PICKS FOR FALL: THE SEQUIN SKIRT
Posted - August 26th, 2009 - Archived
It’s no secret that we’ve got a total girl crush on Alexa Chung, and we love that one of her top must-haves for fall (in the latest issue of Marie Claire) is a sequined skirt (since we also love sequins, if you haven’t noticed). We knew we liked this girl for a reason. When we’re not rockin’ our favorite denim, a sequined skirt is just what we need to add a little glam…
Clockwise: On Alexa, skirt by Antik Batik; a more casual cut from Wren, tulip skirt from DVF, rocker chic from TopShop, and fancy gold sequins from Proenza Schouler.
TUESDAY TUNES: THE LIMOUSINES

Because we are very busy people… we’re lovin’ this single from The Limousines as well as their mixed sound.
Expect more awesomeness from this Bay Area duo soon.
GET MEDIEVAL

We couldn’t help but notice the Medieval mini trend with these standout pieces from some of our favorite fall collections…
Herve Leger dress, Temperly belt, Society for Rational Dress chain vest, Givenchy cuff and Rupert Sanderson for Lagerfeld boot.
What do you think? Would you dare to add a little edge with any of these pieces?
