What more could a girl want, really?
Yes, cute little pup, we think those shoes look pretty yummy too. Vogue via Fashionista.
The feather fad has officially arrived, and even though we’re sure we’ll be sick of it by winter… we’re still falling for it now!

Feathers in red top a serious pair of Louboutins, a black and white headband becomes more unique with the curled feathers by Feather Brain

Go a little crazy with fantasy lashes from Shu Uemera (just in time for Halloween!), or a feather skirt from Elizabeth & James.

Diggin’ the dots on these selections, we reaaalllllly love the clutch from R & Y Augousti. And for those on a budget? There’s always options (like these earrings and hat) at Urban Outfitters
What happens when Mr. Chow goes to Miami…? This:

A total hot spot in every sense of the word with high contrast decor (better keep those shades on) and glamour.

Did you want a spot at the bar?

Or will the chef’s table do?

VIP? No problem.

With two stories, there’s plenty of room for everyone. And how’s the food? We’re willing to bet it’s just as good as the decor. Maybe.
If you’ve never heard of the amazing vocalist and songwriter Rachael Yamagata, you should stop what you’re doing and immediately download her first album. If you have heard of her, then you’re one of the many who have been waiting (and waiting and waiting) for some new songs. In which case, today is your lucky day….
Rachael’s music is moody, poetic, and soulful, and her first single, Elephants, off the slowly releasing album (the first part of which comes out today), is a true taste of this side of her. For those of you needing something a bit more upbeat, listen to her other single, Sidedish Friend, on her myspace page to get your fix.
It might be a strange trend to be picking up on, but we’re not making this up…
Elephants are everywhere right now - in jewelry, accessories and decor! But the rings are by far our favorite way to sport this motif. From left to right: A bejeweled elephant from Anthropologie, a simplified elephant in brushed yellow gold by Abraxas Rex for Barneys, and a beautifully detailed version by Gretchen Julius with just a touch of bling at Auto.
Fall is here, and that means one thing…
We can officially start working on incorporating some wellies into our weekend adventures! We even hear there’s a chance of rain tomorrow. (Yes. In LA.) And thanks to photographer Corrie Bond, we now have a little ensemble inspiration. Hudson shorts and a fun girly top. Weekend, here we come!
You know those ridiculously detailed garments that come swinging down the runway during the couture shows? Well, this month, Vogue is giving the masters behind this work the props they deserve with a in-depth article on what goes on behind the scenes of couture creations.

Head dressmaker Martine Houdet (and team) with an over-the-top Chanel couture creation.

The team for Christian Lacroix in the garden of the designer’s 18th-century couture house, with head dressmaker Martine Berger and head tailor Rosine Delaplace.

Perched on the balcony is Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, and the lead ‘technicians’ for the label.
If you have an appreciation for this side of the fashion world, you can check out the full article in the latest issue, or read the short version (don’t you just love cliffs notes?) right here.
Oh Jenny… what a long way you’ve come from being that cute little redheaded Wilderness Girl in Troop Beverly Hills (do you think she gets tired of people mentioning that?)
We loved her then, and we still love her now, whether she’s fronting for Rilo Kiley, mixing it up as Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins, or - most recently - releasing her own solo album Acid Tongue which arrived last week.
We caught her show in LA which featured this duet, Carpetbaggers, with artist Jonathan Rice, and, while we’ve been more excited with some of her past endeavors, Jenny still brings it with her country/indie style and unique sound.
If there is a home decor equivalent to the ‘hipster’ trend, it’s The Selby.
