Turn up the heat with bright colors and sexy shapes, and you’re sure to create some fireworks of your own this weekend…

Have you popped over to the Chanel website lately? We’re loving the way they’re sharing their behind the scenes moments as well as Karl’s little cameos and films…
Like Lily Allen’s shoot as the face of Chanel’s next handbag line. (She looks very Queen of Hearts here, don’t you think?)
Shopping and styling with Freida Pinto…
And behind the scenes at the Venice show. There’s so much gorgeousness on this site we’re already addicted.
Not everyone in LA lives by the beach. Or owns a pool. Which is why we’re very thankful for the rooftop pool at The Standard - one of our favorites haunts for a little relief from the heat (not to mention a the party ensues after the sun has gone down).
As for what we’re wearing… why not start with a Hermes beach blanket and work from there?
Add a pair of Vienna Line sunglasses, Missoni bikini and comfy Musa sandals, and we’re all set. What’s your favorite summer haunt or hotel pool?
We’ve been waitin’ for the Cobra Starship’s single Good Girls Go Bad video just to see Gossip Girl Leighton Meester in action - not just acting, but singing (and styling!). Well, darlings, here it is.

Designer Katy Rodriguez has built quite the little cult following amongst loyal fans of her style, and we’d like to add ourselves to that list. Her SS09 collection has the same worldy attitude as many of her pieces, with a little nod to Frida Kahlo in the styling.

A mix of Euro tailoring with the look of Mexican folk attire made from fine Italian cottons, gorgeous laces, and printed silk just shows how well Katy draws from a mix of historical cultures. Plus, can we just mention those heels? Killer. We’d happily take any of these ensembles for the rest of the summer.
Sported perfectly by Jennifer Aniston during filming for her movie The Bounty Hunter, we are loving the simplicity of this Ferragamo bag. Its slouchy leather makes the structured look much more casual, and since we work as hard as we play around here, we’re happy to find a bag that can do both too. Especially in a hot summer white.

We know that sometimes you have a problem using your words. It’s not always easy to say what you mean. So, might we suggest a little help from the creative minds at Right On?
For when he just won’t commit.
For when she asks you for the 100th time “Are you mad at me?”
For the long distancers.
Of course, we’d like to see a version that says “Where WERE You?” for the late nights out with the boys. We’re sure that one’s on its way.
Annie Clark debuted herself under St. Vincent a few years ago, to great acclaim but little fame, but after her latest album, Actor, she’s sure to rise further to the top as her pure talent shines through. Our favorite little tune? The single Actor out of Work, of course…
