2. Get your hands on a copy of his much awaited Rock Diary anthology that arrived this summer

Slimane says that before he was a desiger (for YSL and Dior, no less) he was a photographer.

“I started taking pictures before I even began in fashion. I didn’t start with clothes until I was 16, but I had my first camera when I was 11. I’ve always taken pictures, almost like some people take notes or write down their thoughts.”

With images like this, we believe him. And we want more.

We can’t all be Olympic athletes. But we have found a few other ways to partake in this year’s games (starting on Friday!) that we’ll be sharing with you throughout the week.
